BVCA presents Wesli in concert
April 23 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm PDT
$15 – $60Known for his vibrant performances that blend traditional Haitian rhythms and lyrics with a wide range of styles, Wesli and his band will be bringing a high-energy message of unity and love to Smithers.
A Juno Award-winner based in Montreal, Wesli has become one of Haiti’s most inspiring and celebrated musical ambassadors. The sounds of his childhood––from Evangelical gospel to reggae, Afrobeat, funk and, of course, the diverse roots music of Haiti––continually inspire his work.
Counting local Alex Cuba as one of his many industry friends, Wesli is excited for the opportunity to perform in Smithers and spread his message: “Traditional music is the common ground between all the nations of the world and all peoples. The dream of justice for all is a big one that we all relate to.”
