The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has expanded the Parrot Lookout evacuation order.
The first expansion is into the previous alert expansion, including properties accessing Morice Owen Service Rd and Parrott FSR, including Owen Lake Road east of Francois Lake.
On the east end, the new order covers Colleymount Road from McClure Pit to and including 20448 Colleymount Road.
The alert was also expanded to include properties located south of the Pipeline Right of Way between McClure Pit and Brown Road.

An expansion for the Parrot Lookout wildfire has been released by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.
With the expansion, properties accessing Morice Owen Service Rd and Parrott FSR, including
Owen Lake Rd. east of Francois Lake are now under alert.

An expansion to the evacuation order and alert was issued by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako last night (Monday).
Lands between 20448 Colleymount Road and the existing order area are now under evacuation order.
While the northern part of the alert remains, the alert was expanded to include properties between McClure Pit and 20448 Colleymount Road.

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued an evacuation alert near the Parrot Lookout Wildfire.
The alert borders the previously issued order’s north and east boundaries.
Properties and lands accessed off Colleymount Road between Kivi Lake and 20460 Colleymount Road are encompassed by the evacuation alert.

An evacuation order has been issued in cooperation between the Skin Tyee Nation, Wet’suwet’en First Nation and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.
The order was issued at noon today (Saturday) for all properties and lands on the north side of Francois Lake, accessed off Colleymount Road (including all local roads), between Trout Creek Road, and the west end of Francois Lake.
Evacuees are being asked to register at the Village of Burns Lake Multiplex Reception Centre.
As of 1:15 p.m. July 12th, the Parrot Lookout Wildfire was 4,200 hectares in size.
It was first discovered Friday evening, with lightning listed as the suspected cause.
The BC Wildfire Service Website has the blaze listed as out of control, which means the fire is not responding to suppression efforts.
