Horses and a road trip to the Okanagan are the themes behind new exhibits featuring in the Smithers Art Gallery.
These are H is for Horse by Sonya Kinsey and Round Trip by Jess Olsen.
“Olsen grew up in Smithers and she’s an amazing water colour artist,” said Manager Nicole Chernish.
She added during their annual Wintergold event, her work sells quickly.
The work features stop along the Highway 97 and Highway 5 routes from Kelowna to Smithers.
“Her water colours are vibrant and uses them in in a different way,” Chernish said.
Kinsey’s works feature mostly ink sketches of horses with a couple painted pictures, all of which were done for her upcoming book about how to draw horses.
The exhibit runs until May 3rd with an opening reception Friday evening at 7:00.
