Peyton and Kalene Pettigrew of Smithers earned silver medals in Kamloops at the Youth Bowl Canada provincial championships.
They played as a team for the first time in the junior girls’ division.
“It was a fun experience especially with this being my last year in Juniors. It’s good to get second,” said Peyton.
Kalene has gone to provincials with a team in the past and said it was different going with her sister compared to with her usual teammate.
“We definitely could have done a little better but I’m happy with it,” said Kalene.
“I would do teams again but focusing on singles is the main thing I want to do for now,” said Peyton.
Both said they would be happy to be in teams as sisters again and have their father as their coach.
“Out of all the other people that have tried to coach me, he has coached me way better and I’m doing way better than I used to,” Peyton said.
