While the Smithers Steelheads ended on a low note, the Hazelton Wolverines were victorious to end the Central Interior Hockey League regular season.
On Friday, the Wolverines won 19-1 against the Kitimat Ice Demons.
This was followed by a 7-3 victory over the Terrace River Kings on Saturday.
The Steelheads visited the Prince Rupert Rampage for a 6-3 loss on Saturday to close out their regular season.
Heading into the playoffs, the Wolverines play their first game this Friday against the Prince Rupert Rampage.
The Steelheads take on the Williams Lake Stampeders on Saturday.
