Two injured in Quesnel shooting

The Quesnel RCMP have made an arrest following a shooting yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Just after 3:00, police were made aware of a person who had been shot on the 1600 Forest Service Road.

They said they later discovered two men had been shot at the location, and a third had turned himself in at the Wells detachment.

Neither of the victims’ injuries were life-threatening and both were taken to the hospital.

Police say the man who had turned himself in was arrested but has since been released “pending further investigation.” No charges have been laid.

The RCMP does not believe this incident represents any threat to the public.
