Smithers Fire was on scene at the homeless encampment near the Smithers Library after a fire broke out in one of the tents.
According to the town, crews were called at 8:17 this morning (Friday) and responded with three trucks and six firefighters.
No one was injured in the incident, and the blaze was extinguished at 8:55 a.m.
No information is available as to what caused the fire.
